Neri Family History

Neri

Our family is a branch of the Neri-Chaves clan from the province of Cagayàn, in the Philippines. My father is the son of Jesus L. Neri, descendant of Vicente Neri and Ceriaca Velez.

Smith

Our family is also a branch of the Irish Smith family in Amherst, Nova Scoatia. My mother is one of Wilma Ring's (remarried name) daughters. When mother was born, my grandmother's husband was a Smith.

Canada is my home

Growing up only exposed to one part of a country can make a person regionally prejudiced. I have been fortunate to have lived in many parts of Canada in my life.

This fortune is also my burden, since I lost many friends to the mobility of my family. Many people have enriched my life since I was born and I thank them for helping me develop. In someone's vaguely famous words, "I wouldn't be what I am today without their help."
